Ultimate Poker V2 Released

Ultimate Poker - the first fully legislated online poker site in the United States - have released the first major update to their software. Many of the changes were drawn from player feedback, with Ultimate Poker responding to suggestions at the end of its successful legislation trial period.

It is difficult to understate the overhaul that has been given to the Ultimate Poker software in the new update. Although the company's trial period was successful, it was beset by technical issues.

At first, players complained about state location authentication dialogue boxes, which appeared at regular intervals and often affected real-time poker play. More niggling and annoying issues have bothered players since the resolution of that initial problem, with grinders annoyed by a confusing sit-down system that often left players inadvertently posting their blinds instead of waiting for the big blind.

Ultimate Poker pro Jason Somerville has showcased the software throughout his wildly-popular 'Run It UP!' YouTube and Twitch bankroll challenge video series. Somerville's influence has clearly been crucial to this update, with his comments a lack of 6-max cash games at low stakes leading to the creation of more tables.

Here is a summary of the most important new features in Ultimate Poker 2.0.

- Tables can now be resized
- Cards and action buttons now more prominent and visible
- Computer memory management fixes
- Redesigned lobby
- U$ - Ultimate Poker tournament dollar currency added
- Introduction of Color-Up VIP Scheme

Regular players will be delighted by the Color Up VIP Scheme, as it will reward the most frequent site users. Color Up points can be converted to cash and tournament dollars at an increasing rate as you ascend the loyalty levels.
