TV: Poker Night in America COMING SOON

A new televised poker show is coming to American TV screens. With Poker After Dark and High Stakes Poker on hiatus, Rush Street Productions have announced the creation of Poker Night in America (PNIA).

Poker Night in America is spearheaded by Todd Anderson, a leading player in the development of the Hearthland Poker Tour. Recently disgraced WSOP media director Nolan Dalla has also been recruited by PNIA to work in a similar role.

The new show will focus on various poker pros as they tour the country and play in events at various 'stops'. Anderson claims that Poker Night in America will "focus on the many interesting characters in the game" and "be less about poker" than many televised poker franchises.

PNIA Event #1 will take place at Turning Stone Casino and focus on the annual Empire State Classic, which boasts a $500,000 guarantee and is open to anyone willing to put up the $1,650 buy-in.

In spite of a lukewarm reception from poker fans, Poker Night in America is scheduled to debut in early 2014.
