ZetPoker Closes as Crisis Worsens on Revolution Network

In news that has significant relevance to many USA-based online poker players, ZetPoker has been forced to "temporarily suspend" operations as it is owed funds by the Revolution Gaming Network. Revolution host ZetPoker other online poker rooms, including the troubled Lock Poker and Juicy Stakes poker rooms.

In a statement on their website, ZetPoker explained that they were forced to suspend operations due to non-payments from the Revolution Network. This was accompanied by a promise to explore all avenues to secure the rapid repayment of all player funds. This news is not the first bad publicity garnered by the Revolution Network in recent times, with the little-known Adamevepoker also forced to suspend player payments and poker operations due to a lack of payments from the operator.

Revolution has built a reputation of poor reliability through its two most prominent skins - Lock Poker and Juicy Stakes Poker. Lock Poker money is currently being traded for $0.40 on the dollar on various Internet fora, with its sponsored pros abandoning the site recently due to recurrent player payment issues. Juicy Stakes rebranded itself from its former incarnation as Cake Poker last year, after gaining the unfortunate tag "Cake money is fake money" due to slow player payments. Currently, player withdrawals are taking an average of seven months to process on Juicy Stakes Poker. As Juicy Stakes and Lock Poker are both available to US players, their poor reputations severely reduce the number of trustworthy rooms which are available to players in this country.
